PROOF Research PXT carbon fiber barrel blanks combine next-generation rifling technology with the lightweight performance and precision that have defined PROOF barrels for years. PXT - PROOF Exponential Twist - is a complete rethinking of conventional rifling geometry and twist progression; engineered to reduce engraving force; minimize throat erosion; and create a smoother transition as the projectile engages the rifling.

By dramatically reducing rifling lead angle and smoothing projectile engagement into the bore; PXT technology helps reduce wear; improve consistency; and create less felt torque during firing for improved recoil control and the ability to stay on target more effectively.

In controlled testing; PXT barrels have demonstrated significant increases in barrel life while maintaining the accuracy standards expected from a PROOF barrel.

The PXT pre-fit barrels arrive threaded; chambered; and ready to shoulder directly up to your action - offering shooters and builders a streamlined path to a premium rifle system without the need for additional machining. Currently available in PROOF carbon fiber configurations for Defiance; Zermatt Arms; and Tikka actions - with additional options coming soon - PXT pre-fits deliver lightweight performance; craftsmanship; and advanced barrel technology in one complete package.
